Bonbeach Project

Designed to feel like a natural extension of the home, this award winning concrete lap pool in Bonbeach makes exceptional use of a compact coastal block. Measuring 10m x 2m, the pool combines clean architectural lines, fresh water sanitation and year round heating to create an inviting space for swimming and relaxation.

Project Overview

With a newly constructed home already occupying much of the property and less than 350m² of land available, this Bonbeach pool project required careful planning from the outset.

An easement along the rear boundary, restricted access and sandy soil conditions added further complexity. The 10 metre lap pool was strategically positioned alongside the home, allowing it to complement the architecture while preserving a functional and cohesive outdoor living area.

During construction, internal shoring and formwork were required to stabilise the sandy soil and protect surrounding structures. Limited access of approximately two metres also meant smaller machinery was needed throughout excavation and construction.

The completed pool was designed around the family’s lifestyle and preferences, incorporating a fresh water management system, electric heating and contemporary finishes that complement the modern home.

The result is an award winning lap pool that maximises a compact site while delivering a refined, inviting and highly usable space for the family throughout the year.
