Carrum Project

Small in footprint but generous in functionality, this custom pool in Carrum was designed to make the most of a compact backyard. Created for a young family, the 4m x 2.5m pool combines year round enjoyment, thoughtful design and premium finishes without overwhelming the outdoor space.

Project Overview

The brief for this Carrum pool project was clear: create a family friendly swimming pool that could be enjoyed throughout the year while working within a limited backyard, budget and challenging site conditions.

With the home already under construction and backyard access restricted, careful planning was essential. The pool was strategically positioned to complement the architecture of the new home and connect naturally with the alfresco dining area, maintaining an open and cohesive outdoor environment.

Despite its compact dimensions, the design incorporates internal seating, spa jets, seat bubblers, gas heating and a fully tiled interior, creating a versatile space for swimming, relaxing and spending time together throughout the seasons.

Results

The completed Carrum pool demonstrates how considered design can transform even a limited backyard into a highly functional outdoor living space.

By carefully integrating the pool with the home, alfresco area and surrounding landscape, Seaspray Pools created a backyard that remains open and connected rather than dominated by the pool. The compact design provides plenty of opportunity for family swimming and relaxation, while gas heating and integrated spa features extend its use well beyond the warmer months.
