Sundrenched Waters was designed for a young family seeking a refined pool and spa combination that would integrate seamlessly with their home and newly built pool house.

Project Overview

The brief focused on creating a calm, natural water tone through a fully tiled interior while prioritising low maintenance and year-round usability. Automation, heating and in-floor cleaning were essential inclusions, allowing the family to enjoy the space more often without the burden of constant upkeep.

Positioned carefully to maintain open lawn areas and support clear sightlines through large glass doors, the rectangular pool and external circular spa create a balanced composition within the backyard. The spa was intentionally tucked into the corner to complement the pool rather than dominate it, preserving generous circulation space for entertaining and relaxation.

Due to sandy soil conditions and a high water table, the build required detailed engineering, dewatering and structural planning to ensure long-term stability and performance.

Results

The completed space delivers both visual refinement and practical performance.

The fully tiled finish enhances the natural water colour and creates a luxurious, cohesive look across both pool and spa. Integrated automation, heating and in-floor cleaning significantly reduce maintenance demands while extending the swimming season.

The circular spa provides a sculptural focal point while remaining proportionate to the overall layout. With clear connections between indoor and outdoor living zones, the project achieves what every well-designed pool should: effortless flow, year-round comfort and a space the family can genuinely use and enjoy.
